of course, Adaptec still charges way too much for their hardware.
if the company becomes Linux friendly, but stays pocketbook-hostile,
who's to blame?  the idea of Linux keeping an inefficient company afloat
is ludicrous!  Adaptec boards cost twice as much as comparable Buslogic, 
Advansys, or NCR/Symbios boards, and are no faster or more robust.
