Oh, and in regards to the errors from ifconfig, I hadn't noticed that
before, but it is present on my 2.1.119 kernel. Upgrading to net-tools
v1.47 seems to fix it. I had v1.45 before, I believe. (I wonder what
else might be in need of an upgrade...)
