If that's true, and I really don't care enough about 5.0 to check
for myself, then that was a bug.  An 'upgrade' to 5.2 won't help
unless you have those sources installed via RPM, which isn't a proper
test of this.  You need to do a clean install of 5.2 and choose
"Everything" at the bottom of the list of components and you should
get it.  I'll certainly make sure this happens in our current beta
(which does have SMP as well as 586 and 686 optimized kernels by
default, FWIW).

I'd be *very* surprised if this is a bug that lived past 5.0.  I wouldn't
be that surprised to see it in 5.0, however.
