I thought it interesting that:
whine whine, we had to download the latest kernel from (url:)
and drivers from (url:) and other stuff from (url url url)
like this was a bad thing!

But they had no problem with:
Set registry entries: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services: 
   \NDIS\Parameters\ProcessorAffinityMask=0 

AcK?  Hacking the registry is Against The Law, and this one looks
rather esoteric.  Of course, there was no (url:) to with it.

Too bad Byte (god rest their souls) can't do a 1999 benchmark.
