Have a look at the message on dejanews:

Click the "More Headers" link.

Note that the field, "X-Http-Proxy" shows RED-PRXY-01, one of the many proxy servers
at Microsoft. These proxy
servers authenticate that traffic originates from a valid REDMOND domain account at
Microsoft.

Note that the field, "X-Http-User-Agent" says, "MS ITG IE5 internal". ITG is the
organization within Microsoft
responsible for maintaining the main servers, and the Microsoft-only customized
versions of released (and
unreleased) Microsoft products.

If these headers were not faked, I have to conclude that:
The message originated from within Microsoft's network, either onsite, or someone
RASed into a local domain. The
message originated from a machine whose operating system was installed off of the
Microsoft intranet.

You may draw your own conclusions about whether or not the the study cited in the
thread's topic was conducted
on-site at Microsoft, and whether or not (and why) the person conducting said test
choose to neither use a verdor
(or internal) Microsoft e-mail account nor an account associated with Mindcraft for a
reply address.
