The PII does not support more than 2 CPU's...it's a hardware
limitation...not the OS.  I suspect the PIII is the same.  Linux will run
fine on any of the above dual or single CPU configs...the quads just don't
exist.

Linux will run on any of the above.

Not sure about Alpha.  Check the source.
