Check the kernel versions. From my understanding, kernel 2.0.x needs the
LILO mem=xxx to see more than 64 meg, but 2.2.x kernels generally see all
the memory. I have a SuSE 6.1 box (SMP w/PPro 200) with 128 meg memory
running 2.2.5-SuSE kernel. It sees the full 128 meg. I have a 2.0.36
kernel running on similar hardware in the backroom, with 256 meg, and I
have to use the mem=256M to make it see all the memory.
