Btw, is it still necessary in 2.2 kernels to reduce the size by 1MB? (In
your case mem=127MB). Some time ago someone stated that the BIOS is
somehow located in the last MB at some Motherboards, so this memory area
could accidentally be overwritten by linux and cause a system crash. Is
this still true?
