This isn't a linux issue, but really a motherboard issue I think. Some
boards have no problem waving a red flag that they have gobs of memory
and linux finds it just fine. Others seem to neglect to tell linux about
anything over 64mb and so linux needs to be prodded. It's been a mixed
bag for me. Some systems/boards need no encouragement, and some have.
