Old versions of the driver were SMP safe but not SMP efficient. The
2.2.16 one is SMP efficient and uses spinlocks. So in theory its ok

- Possible stuff to check
        Large EBDA needing newer LILO (I think 6.2 has this fix tho)
        Intel 820/840 chipsets with SDRAM in some situations
