Question is... do you want it? Considering it still has a binary part,
though completely optional... The driver is certainly production ready, itīs
been in development for more than a year and judging from the mails I
received lately, absolutely stable. 

I have no problems with keeping it as an add-on, like Jeroen Vreekenīs SE401
driver, or other such drivers.
