My usbhid is not a module, which is why that one failed.  And now that
I know what to poke around for, I see that the joydev.ko module does
not have an "alias" entry, which is why that one didn't work when I
tried modprobing the entry for this Wisegroup adapter.  I gave up
after two and didn't try my sound card, though looking at
snd-usb-audio.ko it does have (many!) aliases, so that one likely
would have worked :)
