You seem to have other scsi devices, have you tried sdb1, sdc1, etc?

I've been working on this with kernel 2.5.69, there's a utility called
lsscsi which is very useful but which relies on 2.5 kernel features.
Here's some output:

As you can see on this system sda is missing entirely!
