Yes, It more or less results in the same diagnostics minus the
suggestion to 'try pci=biosirq'.

My bios setup interface is astonishingly sparse. There is nothing
there that's pertinent. But I am consoled somewhat in that I can
turn on and off the VAIO logo at whim.
