I have a client with aHello,
We tried to plug our brand new external disc, Freecom classic 160 GB, in our Red Hat 2.4.27 Linux kernel, but it doesn't work at all. We installed a VIA pci-usb card, in order to try the USB 2.0 interface, but with the same result.
Is there anyone who could help us with this problem?
Thank's in advance!
Rafael.
FRE-23237 FREECOM CLASSIC - 250GB EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE
and Redhat9 (kernel 2.4.30.9) reports "kernel: usb.c: USB device 2 (vend/prod 0x7ab/0xfccd) is not claimed by any active driver. "
Is that the same "vend/prod" as yours?
Do keep in touch and let me know if you find a solution.
