Dear Alan,

I have made additional test on this Dell Laptop - 
I used the Madkrake Move live CD.
After plug in the player was recognized and
system used the usb-storage driver.
During the copy from player with the same speed as Win 500-600 kb/s
it hangs up somewhere in the middle of copy almost every time - same
like on my system (or maybe a little better - this is just feeling)

Did You look at the logs which I send last time ?
