Hi all,

I am new here. I did a search through the archives (and google) and could not find anything about this. I have several machines: generic PCs, Dell machines and a few Laptops. All of which when running Windows will charge my BlackBerry 7100t with no problem from the USB port. A full charge generally takes about an hour(-ish).

When I put linux on those same machines, regardless of whether they are using 2.4.x or 2.6.x kernels, I get a message on the BlackBerry that the USB port is not supplying sufficient power to charge. It does actually supply some power, and the BlackBerry will charge in about 6 hours. I have also noticed similarly that my iPod (new G5 video) does not show enough power to charge either if I plug that in.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on this or any settings that I could look to tweaking to change this. I am not looking to write a full driver for the BlackBerry, just to have the power output on the USB ports be the same as it is when I am running Windows.

TIA,
Warren
