Hi all,
I trying to get my Iomega ZIP 100 USB working under Redhat6.1 (Kernel
2.2.14). I have patch the kernel using
===============================================
usb-2.3.50-1-for-2.2.14.diff.gz
from >>
http://www.suse.cz/development/usb-backport/
===============================================
This advice come from
=====================================================================
http://linuxusbguide.sourceforge.net/USB-guide-1.0.6/c122.html#AEN124
=====================================================================
So I patched the kernel and make xconfig again where thereis USB support
there already. So i enabled it and choosed the one that support my
motherboard.
Everything goes smoothly in compiled the kernel again and reboot
I have _attached_ the >>> dmesg <<<< in this mail.
The problems is when I'm using USBview from
================================
http://www.kroah.com/linux-usb/
================================
I complains can't find /proc/bus/usb/devices, after that i read the USB
guide again and do
====================================
mount -t usbdevfs none /proc/bus/usb
====================================
as adviced in USB guide.
It said I should have folder devices and drivers after i executing tha
command. But still the /proc/bus/usb is still empty (nothing inside).
I not really understand reading the dmesg but it seems to me that it
said that the kernel has detected Iomega product and USB 100 Zip.
Any idea?
Thanks,
Irvan
