I can vouch for this one, it should be ok (if not, it will be quickly
fixed.)

I move for doing it sooner, like now.
And let's not worry about the depreciated API stuff. This is Linux, we
don't have to worry about carrying crufty old API calls around that only
external drivers use. If anyone disagrees with this I can point to a
bunch of linux-kernel flamewars^W discussions about this very topic.

Let's just make sure the drivers in the kernel tree work if we change
something (or let the author of those driver know that they need to fix
them).
