     FWIW, during my 2 weeks I spent on the Linux Kernel mailing list, I
witnessed a devfs-related flame war that suggested that mounting devfs
on /dev was a idea that many had objected to.  It still mounts on dev,
though, so I imagine this is to be the offical home for devfs.
