Pen cam and Palm cam use the same chipset, and they work. I think my camera was a bit dodgy though as I had to have a script the kept unloading and loading the modules every 10 mins. FWIW it screws up under windows too after about an hour or so... since I took it to peices :)
I'll find the drivers I used for the Palm cam and post them to you. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Pearce" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, July 11, 2002 12:21 PM Subject: USB Web Cameras > > Has anyone had PERSONAL experience with any of the following web cams on Linux?? > > I have a project here that I need a web cam for, so I'd rather start with a known functionable one. > > Note: I haven't found these on any Linux USB Lists. > > ** Hi Res (640x480) ** > > >From Dick Smith: > Chicony Internet Camera > > >From Dove: > Genius USB PC Camera > Genius USB Web Cam > > ** Low Res (352x288 and lower) ** > > >From DSE: > "D"-Cam > Pen Cam > Palm Cam > > >From Dove: > D-Link DSC-100 > > > Mike > > --------------------- > !!!!
