FWIW- I've had excellent results with SGI's installer cd. It's available at: ftp://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/ftpdir/Release-1.0.2/installer/i386/RH7.2-SGI-XFS-1.0.2a.iso It requires RedHat 7.2 install disks but lays out the file systems as xfs from the start.
