FWIW-
 I've had excellent results with SGI's installer cd. It's available at:
ftp://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/ftpdir/Release-1.0.2/installer/i386/RH7.2-SGI-XFS-1.0.2a.iso
It requires RedHat 7.2 install disks but lays out the file systems as
xfs from the start. It also gives you the option of using grub or lilo
to boot your system.
