Seriously though. Having an SUV in Canada in the winter is extremely
handy (and comforting). However, a lot of folks just feel safer in an
SUV. The impression is that there is more vehicle around you, compared
to the plastic and tin crumple zone wonders.
For the record I had a Blazer, but I now drive a mini-van <sigh>. All I
need now is a polyester leisure suit and velcro strap shoes. And to
think just 4 years ago I was bombing around Europe in my BMW coupe.
