Normally it boots fine from the scsi drive on the 2.4.0 kernel.  I've 
been studying the SCSI HOW-TO and I have to make sure that all of the 
necessary SCSI kernel parts get added.  The 2.4.0 kernel starts 
(Caldera) with loadable SCSI modules as part of an initrd=blahblah.tar 
line in lilo.conf that I did not understand at first.  So I'll either 
have to do this or hopefully have enough space to put the SCSI stuff 
specific to my box in the kernel.
But I will read about the bios stuff; I saw it mentioned in the HOW-TO.
