Normally it boots fine from the scsi drive on the 2.4.0 kernel. I've been studying the SCSI HOW-TO and I have to make sure that all of the necessary SCSI kernel parts get added. The 2.4.0 kernel starts (Caldera) with loadable SCSI modules as part of an initrd=blahblah.tar line in lilo.conf that I did not understand at first. So I'll either have to do this or hopefully have enough space to put the SCSI stuff specific to my box in the kernel. But I will read about the bios stuff; I saw it mentioned in the HOW-TO. -- Tony Alfrey [EMAIL PROTECTED] "I'd rather be sailing" _______________________________________________ http://linux.nf -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives, Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest, Etc ->http://linux.nf/mailman/listinfo/linux-users
