You want ideas? I had one! Aren't they up to rpm 4.x? There was a lot of hassle when that happened, because rpms from 4.x could not be opened with 3.x, so there is some incompatibility. People with rpm 3.x couldn't update their systems. Get rpm 4 - it works fine on 3.x rpms -- Regards,
