Don't know. I saw pirate copies in Saudi Arabia that people were installing.
They came with a license key. I thought this was the one where you had to
call MS to get a key. That is the case for, say, the educational version of
XP Office. But, apparently, not for XP the OS.

These were XP Professional copies of both English and English/Arabic.
Going pirate price about $7 USD. In Saudi Arabia, pirate software is priced
per CD.

I saw a guy selling pirate SuSE (7 CDs) for about $50 USD. When I asked if
he sold many of them he would not say.
