Yes, I don't use it anywhere important by choice ( this workstation is CentOS 6 for example... reliable as, but frustrating in the multimedia stakes ).
Although I have just set up a Percona MySQL cluster nationwide using it - not my choice ( on the OS front... I always use Percona when I can! ), but apart from SP's blocking ports and denying point blank that they are ( and the aforementioned cowsay incident ), no real problems. > > > > In other linux-related issues, my Nana still runs XP. If there wasn't much typing involved, I'd suggest an android tablet... although that may be a bit too much of a culture shock. You're looking for something that just resets every boot? I have used webkiosk in the past, but it was 5+ years ago so probably too far back to be of any relevance. That's debian based I think. Not sure how you'd handle updates though. The alternative is you build something that offers a VPN that you can get into if there are problems ( if she's not too far away to set the router up - hint run it on TCP/80 and it works from *anywhere* ) > > > -- > CF Cheers, Steve -- Steve Holdoway BSc(Hons) MIITP http://www.greengecko.co.nz Linkedin: http://www.linkedin.com/in/steveholdoway Skype: sholdowa _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.canterbury.ac.nz/mailman/listinfo/linux-users
