Hi Julian, Sorry, you've not really got enough information there so we can start looking at it.
Is the web server in the cloud, or physically on the network in the same room? Are there firewall(s) in between you and the server, what SFTP client, can you sftp from localhost on the web server.. You say you can't connect to the host domain, does it work via IP? Is the DNS configured correctly and resolving from the client? Sooooo many things we don't know to help you resolve the problem. :-) Cheers, Chris H.
