I was talking about the Arabic-aware editor, not the terminal emulator. In
a terminal emulater, I also prefer the most simple and most robust 
solution. But I really like things like "cat" to be able to output Arabic.

I see no important difference. I think this is related to the environment,
the programmer preferences, ...
