My laptop had some hardware problem these two weeks, and I shall try your other suggestions when it is back. However, the CD-ROM problem puzzles me. I use `codepage' and `iocharset' options with NTFS and VFAT to switch code pages, but these two options have no effect with iso9660, nor are they documented with iso9660 in mount(8) man page. Any enlightenments? Best regards, Wu Yongwei -- Linux-UTF8: i18n of Linux on all levels Archive: http://mail.nl.linux.org/linux-utf8/
