Since I'm not so sure gstreamer is not involved with this issue I looked
in gst-plugins-good for recent changes on v4l2src. The only notable
change was its switch to libv4l2 (see bug
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=545033 ).
Hans had some doubt a behavior like this could be caused by libv4l when
I asked him in http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=545033 but I
wouldn't exclude it, so I'm attaching a libv4l2 log. If not else, it
does contain a log of all the ioctl calls.. maybe it can be useful.
First one done with the first gst-launch run, second one with the
second.
