Hello

Yes,the chip was extracted fully.
i am nearly shure that the contents is complete, but i cannot prove it.
anyway, it looks very promising.

hereby a first draft of the map :

00000
somme data (RST + interrupt vector table ?)
0001E
        0x0000
01000
        0xFFFF
04000
        code
14000
        0xFFFF
2ADC0
        pattern / code
7FF52
        0xFFFF
7FFFF

(adresses from the 16bit words)
what surprises me is that the first part of the code stops exactly at
14000, it is a too round adress.

so we have a lot of work now :
    - convert the file to binary
    - try to complete the memory mapping
    - disassemble
    - find out the code responsible of polling the flash (we would need
help from specialists of reverse on other ipods)
    - ....

I will not mail the file on the ML, so anyone needing it, just ask, i
will send it privately. Please don't diffuse it publicly due to the
copyright issues

Have fun :)

sto
