The thing is, that they have used an entirely different type of 
processor in the 1G (PortalPlayer instead of ARM). iPL has a lot of 
information regarding 1G, but I don't think we can use that at all. Once 
we have all parts of the nano2G bootloader (I'm still waiting for the 
internal ROM image), it will be pretty easy to find out how it works ant 
what is what in the image. Until then... Well, I'll wait. I doubt that 
we can make any major progress without having that ROM's contents.
Nevertheless it would be interesting, whether they used a similar kind 
of sections/images/files/whatever you call them in the 1G flash. I doubt 
that this knowledge will help anyone, I'm just curious, so I'll have a 
look at that one later.
