Well, that's pretty bad... Which attachment do you mean? Your mail didn't contain one. Forgot to attach it? What we could do now is trying to "hack" at least parts of the layout by poking around on the board. I think that at least power supply should be identifiable ;) The USB pins shouldn't be a big deal either. Then one can rule out a dozen of other pins connected to known things (RAM/ROM/Flash/Display/etc.) How many will still be left? I guess too much to try a brute force... (That beast has 232 pins, right!?) Are there any other components on that board that are likely to be connected to the ARM via JTAG? If yes, that could reveal a few pins. The other ones are hopefully somewhere around there. How long does a JTAG brute force take using that JTAG finder thingy suggested a while ago?
Good luck... tof schrieb: > hello > > > unfortunately, the sky is black up to now, not much hope. > > the pinout of the chip is totally unknown, and does not correspond to > the pinout available on the net > http://www.meizume.com/rockbox/5797-technical-information-s5l8700x07-sip.html > > see in the attachment the ball layout of the chip > > so it will bw difficult to find the jtag..... > > if someone on this list has good microelectronics knowledge, please > contact me by mail directly... > > keep trying ;) > > > christoph > > >>> Once we have all parts of the nano2G bootloader (I'm still waiting >>> for the internal ROM image), it will be pretty easy to find out how >>> it works ant what is what in the image.
