Well on my machine 132 cols is the same as 80 cols: 7x13. But for me that is a good thing since I spend most of my time in 132 cols I want the biggest font that still fits on my screen. For me that is 7x13. 7x13 is also the same font (or very nearly the same font) I use for all my X applications: xterm, emacs, etc. I like the uniformity. But this doesn't have any method for using different fonts for different column sizes. So .tn5250rc is probably a better place, it is just not the only place. All this makes me think I ought to finish up the HOWTO and get it in DocBook format.
