Why not just download Fedora Core 5 and burn it to CD?

Fedora's stable and easy to use and of course avaible as a CD download -
see http://www.redhat.com/fedora/

thanks

Andy.

After Robert mentioned eBay as a source for Linux I booked into my account
there and searched. Found lots of DVD's for various bistros but only one CD
set for unbuntu so bid for it and got it for 1p (£2 postage).

OK, so it received a live disk and an install disk. The Live disk would not
get beyond a battery check and the install disk loaded OK but left me with
a
problem kernel that would only give me a prompt after a warning about NO
warranty on the software. As I did not know what to put after the prompt I
could not load further.

Any help appriciated.

Ian
