Hi everybody and happy and prosperous new year!
It's a long time I don't have a Linux box at home and I want one.
At work I use Red Hat Professional and some Suse.
Now I have this AMD Athlon 2100+ with 256Mb Ram which I don't want to
expand. I want to dedicate it 100% to Linux.
I plan to use bash commands, bash scripts, awk, vi and gcc at a new-bie
level.
I don't really need a GUI but I like the lightest one possible for
connetting the Internet and experimenting.
Internet connection is supposed to operate through a DSL wireless
modem/router.
My first love in year 2000 was a SLackware minidistro uploaded in the
16MB Ram of my old Pc.
I'd like to stick to Slackware, but i'm here askin for your advice.
Which distro and where to get it?
Thank you very much in advance.
bye HNY
