As a two month newbie to linux I can confirm Suse 10.3 is a very good
choice, I converted from Win XP quite easily. I use VLC for watching
video's and listening to music, I have not played any dvd's on it as I
play them on a dvd player connected to the tv. Good idea to install
updates after it is fully installed. If you stick with it and take it
easy, take time to learn it, it is very rewarding. There is loads of
info out there.
If you want to run Windoze software install VirtualBox and install
Windoze in there, I'm in the process of setting it up now.

Forgot to mention, this is my first post here, Hi to everyone, this
looks like a really busy and friendly group, I've no doubt I'll be
posting messages here quite a bit, with both questions, and answers if
I can help.
