'Linux' encompasses hundreds of distributions, so I would expect the stability of those distros to vary a lot, from one distro to the next. Also, in any 'installed and running' operating system, be it Linux, Microsoft Windows 7, BSD-UNIX, whatever, the stability and other attributes of the system would be greatly affected by the superuser/admin who is managing the system. Hardware is also a consideration. About a year ago I started experiencing an intermittent 'mouse freeze', or so I thought. Turned out my video card was slowly dieing. :) -- http://www.robertwittig.com/ http://robertwittig.net/ http://robertwittig.org/ . ------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from this list, please email [email protected] & you will be removed.Yahoo!
