not at present. I brought this question up a long time ago -- how should
we do this type of thing. There's no problem doing it, there's just the

I had basically hoped that 1Mbyte flash would be the rule by now; in that
case it is trivial, put a big linux in there, and a ram disk, and put a
little /sbin/init on the ram disk that basically asks you where your root
is and where your kernel is. Trivial.

But with these damned 256KB flash parts, things are a lot harder. And I'm
unsure what the right thing to do is. I'm open to good ideas though.

One possibility is to boot linux 1.0 out of flash and than have linux boot
something.
