Perhaps what you should do is simply alert the LUGs in the UK .
A persuasive arguement as to how important it is to shout along with the rest of
the world would only take 10 -15 minutes and finding the LUGs through various
LUG listings not much more .
I suggest swinging by RedHat.com SuSe ( they are popular in Europe ) Caldera ,
Linux Journal ( linuxjournal.com) , and Debian to find listings .
( Linux.org might also )
