Hello.
First of all,
since this is my first post to this list,I'd like to introduce myself.
I am Yoni and I represent Israel's LUG.
In Israel we have Installfests (last one was in may) but we haven't
don't any "demonstration" yet.
(unless letting people see how we install is a "demonstration of
installation easiness).
I am looking forward to the event.
I also hope it would be on a friday or saturday, since these are the
resting days for us in israel.
(and in arab countries if I'm not mistaking)

We have at least one local sponser in Israel.
Should I tell him to talk to anyone in here?
On the last events they sold linux for about $10,
Are you going to send us or subsidize CDs? (with the intl sponsors?)

We can have just the simple Tux penguin.
We don't have to be too splashy on ads and brochures, if they are
interesting and catchy.
(something like "you can use the OS NASA uses, for free! - this can
attract people)
However, if we are going to have big postes, they should be really cool.
I saw a punk-tux once as a mascot for linux clustering, it was real
cool.
Also, if we have a website (a-la linux.com) to point people to, it will
be good.
so we can tell people, rest of the details are in "www.linuxdemo.org"
(main site would then be main.linuxdemo.org)
Cheers,
Yoni.
