Ok, for the NFS, ftp install and server.
My point is, users that I had to help had nevers seen
a network card, does not know what an IRQ is, etc.
Some of them had nevers open there computer case
before.
If I have to spend time installing and dealing with
each IRQ and others personal problem issues, it simply
takes more time than doing a CD installation.
Nevertheless, as you suggest, I have with me some
spare network card.
I did not use a Laplink cable yet to install linux,
but I agree it is a very good point, as often people
come with an older laptop.
I realize you are more used to and ready than me to
deal with big installfest.
I remember having told a new user to read your point
about Win-modem, as he simply could not understand why
I did not want to help him on this point.
