It happened with me as well. Guess windows has a fit of jealousy.
Get a book diskette and boot into linux, /* think you gotta copy boot.img
for this in your floppy */
re-install the lilo boot ladder with the command
/sbin/lilo
If you want to install the windows section as the default boot option in
lilo you have to change the order in which the partitions appear in
/etc/lilo.conf
BTW, there are some cool booting programs available at freshmeat.net, give
you a graphical interface and everything. Don't really need them though.
