If thats a case rohit, why don't you put up a doc which a layman can
understand. For that matter even the sendmail book from oreilly publications
is rather complicated. Give the book to a newbie and I sure he learn
everyting in sendmail except how to set up an simple mail server.
Simple things like does sendmail require a DNS server locally, how is to
priority set of using DNS or hosts file. Does nsswitch.conf play any role in
using sendmail. what the file under etc/mail directory used for and many
more such questions which may not available "off-the-shelf".
Note: This is just my opinion, flame only if required...
