Maintaing an ordering system e. Maintaining a delivery system f. Collecting Money and depositing it in the bank g. Providing for expenses, budgets, etc f. Recording and Handling of complaints h. Sales Tax and Income Tax related Matters i. Listening to and repying to all flames and critisism of well-intentioned clules people who wont do the work themselvel (like me ?) If it is being done then, it should be done on a professional basis, with time bound delivery and other matters. Once started, it should continue and not stop due to lack of time, etc of the person doing it. Dont get sarcastic. There is a lot of difference between doing something out of fun, at irregular intervals and doing something on a commercial basis. If you are doing on commercial basis, you need to definately meet customer expectations. We work with commercial organisations. There are a lot of seemingly minor problems and practical as well as tactical difficulties that will come up. > > > And ofcourse, finally, how much money does the organisation make and > > whether the efforts justify the amount of profit > > Dont think just about CDs .... think about donations ... think about > endorsements ... think about banner ads on the GLUG site ... think about .... > think about ... think about ... sorry I ran out of ideas :P > > Cheers!! > Kapil Karekar > http://www.libretech.com -- http://mm.ilug-bom.org.in/mailman/listinfo/linuxers
