Incidentally, our group is the Nashik OOMD group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nashikoomd). Almost everyone on our list is a college student and not very tech or email savvy. Piracy is pampant, and folks don't understand netiquette very much. I myself have just a moderate level of understanding of netiquette. I therefore look toward ILug Mumbai for help. Thanks everyone for the feedback and for voicing your opinions.
