Well then you'll really be amazed by this.  This is 1 year old 12 cell.
I scale the CPU to 800MHz unconditionally when on battery, and when I'm
on AC, I remove the battery when I know I'm going to do CPU-intensive
stuff that is gonna take me over 60C, like compiling or games.
Admittedly, its not on battery that often, but at least there is no heat
related capacity loss.
