The problem is with the above sites (which is fairly similar what is on the wiki), the following: 1. pcmcia-cs (above) vs. pcmciautils (what I have) pcmcia-cs is for kernel <= 2.6.13-rc3 pcmciautils is for kernel >= 2.6.13-rc3 (what I have: 2.6.16-rc4) 2. The referenced kernel bug is already closed and perhaps fixed: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2944 3. I have followed the above instructions, but no success. (http://www1.pacific.edu/~khughes/presario-r3120us/#pcmcia) After setpci, Im not able anymore to use pccardctl insert and eject, so basically the system not recognize anymore my cardbus card.
