That was it! Thanks for answer. The test session of eclipse now looks normal with 'org.eclipse.linuxtools.tracing.rcp.*' closed in my workspace.
Is there a way I could have detected this during the build/execution or is it documented with linuxtools somewhere that I missed? I do not recall seeing warning/error messages in the console window that would have taken me down this path.
